Gentle, rhythmic movement
While you rest comfortably on a treatment table, Ellen uses soft touch and light, rhythmic movements. The pace and movements are adapted to you and your comfort.
The Trager® Approach combines gentle, rhythmic tablework with simple movement explorations. It invites you to notice how your body feels, how you move, and what a little more ease might feel like for you.
Trager® is a somatic movement education and bodywork approach. A session may pair gentle tablework with Mentastics®—easy, self-guided movement explorations that help you pay attention to the sensations of moving.
While you rest comfortably on a treatment table, Ellen uses soft touch and light, rhythmic movements. The pace and movements are adapted to you and your comfort.
Simple movements, often done standing or sitting, invite you to notice effort, balance, rhythm, and ease. You can explore what feels natural and useful in your own body.
Trager sessions are not about performing a movement correctly. Ellen can guide you to pause, notice your experience, and explore small variations at a pace that feels comfortable.
Rather than relying only on explanation, the Trager Approach uses touch and movement as ways to explore body awareness. Ellen may invite you to notice what changes as you move with a different rhythm, less effort, or a new sense of support.
The session is collaborative. Your feedback helps shape the work, and the movement explorations can offer ideas to carry into everyday activities.
Each visit is shaped around your comfort, movement, and questions that day.
